Twenty years ago, Alzheimer’s the most common form of dementia, was thought to be normal after a certain age. Now we know we can create better brains. Dementia is not normal. We can increase the size of our hippocampus, the memory center of our brain no matter what age we are. We can enjoy a vibrant old age with a healthy strong mind.
Many of you know that I have been studying the brain since I was recovering from a stroke. This August I attended the NGH conference and took a class with the very knowledgable Robert Bayliss about the new research concerning dementia and I made a decision to grow my brain.
On Saturday September 24th at 9 a.m.-12 p.m. I will have a class about ways you can create a better brain. There will be a test to calculate your risk and then we will make a plan. The plan includes tips on what research is teaching us to make a better brain, which in turn makes a better life. If after you hear the simple and I think fun ways to create the life you desire you can decide what you want to do. You can decide to join me on this journey. You can commit to 98 days for a better life. Why 98 days, because we have 98 days between September 25th and December 31st. I am going into 2017 stronger, with a better brain and make 2017 the best and healthiest year of my life. I challenge you to make the commitment. I challenge you to let go of the excuses you have been using to stay stuck in the old way of thinking about old age and what you are capable of creating in your life.
This class will also give you some tips if you are working with people who have Alzheimer’s. There will also be some ideas for caregivers to reduce stress and stay healthy.
If you are interested in the class but either the date does not work for you or you are too far away please let me know, I have a plan. Please register for the class by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or message me on facebook. The Saturday class costs $30 and will be help at Sky Blue Dreams in Oxford.
